I received a number of reports that v1.4.4 was crashing on OS X 10.4.11. I have investigated this and made some changes, retested on 10.4.11 and the problem is resolved there. I’ve updated the download section with the new version (leaving the version number at 1.4.4).

100 + 19.5% = 119.5

Also this version changes the behaviour of the clear function: the first clear will remove the currently entered number, a subsequent clear removes the entire calculation. This is similar to the C/CE function found on many calculators. Plus a bug is fixed that could hang the preference window under specific (rare) conditions.

I’ve completed an initial implementation of percentage handling in the Mac OS X version of Calq. It allows making a calculation like:
100 + 10% =
110
I expect to be able to make a release of a new version that includes this functionality in the next 2 weeks.
