Makes No Sense At All

Yesterday I attempted to improve my personal best on the 10km in the Ooievaarsloop in Groot-Ammers. Without success, in the end the clock stopped at 52:26, 20 seconds slower then 2 months ago in Heukelum. In two weeks I’ll give it another try on my way to the 50 minutes milestone.

Way more successful was Rianne who came in first in her category in a new personal best of 41:45!

I’ve completed an initial implementation of percentage handling in the Mac OS X version of Calq. It allows making a calculation like:

100 + 10% =
110

I expect to be able to make a release of a new version that includes this functionality in the next 2 weeks.

This weekend we went out to Limburg for some Haute Cuisine and Culture. On Friday night a very nice diner at Da Vinci in Maasbracht. A modern place with a very nice ambiance, where we had the 5 course menu. Especially the 2nd starter (red mullet on a bed of vegetables and saffron sauce, with deepfried langoustines and tuna broth on the side) and the desert (raspberry & vanilla souffle) were fantastic. As a bonus we got a nice ride from out hotel to the restaurant in a Bentley RT.

After that on saturday a one day visit to the Pinkpop festival. We saw: Moke (ok, but nothing special), Bad Religion (very poor sound, not very inspired), KT Tunstall (boring), Editors (great show, my personal highlight), Kaiser Chiefs (they were good, but not really my kind of music), The Verve (boring) and Foo Fighters (powerful show, great atmosphere). And when reading the reviews on the net, we should have really gone to see Voicst and Blood Red Shoes.

For 2 days my local ADSL provider (xs4all) has been suffering from a major outage, which 50,000+ people impacted. As a result of this I was unable to use the Internet, and this website was also mostly unavailable, since I’m hosting this from my home network.<br>

It seems that by now most of the problems are gone.
