About
Living in the Netherlands I fill my days with listening to music, playing games, acting as a photographer, writing software, doing things on my computer, hanging around with my family, running, playing chess, drinking wine or working as an IT architect. All of this in no particular order and with varying frequency. The title of this blog comes from a Hüsker Dü song from their Flip your wig album, and describes how I feel about a lot things. Still it feels a bit more positive then Too far down or Hardly getting over it (the latter being my all-time Dü favourite).
I had a question about MPoD. I love this MPD client however I can’t figure out how to reorder the songs in the play queue. I tried putting my finger on a track and dragging upwards but that does nothing. Thinking maybe I need to tap it to put it into a different mode I found out that playback just jumps to the track then. I intend to use this while DJing and I can see where dance instruction studios could make use of this. Imagine having a simple Linux machine with all your music and as the dance instructor you can simply choose a playlist or stop / start the music. At clubs and parties I just queue up music for dancing and that’s all so MPD is perfect for this.
It’s currently not possible to modify the playlist. I think I will add this at some point, but don’t know when that will be.
Dear Sirs,
thank you for your code, which I received after payment.
But for some reason, I can’y type my name in the register tab. The code tab is working fine.
Maybe you have a solution?
thank you,

I have CALQ running in the background on a MAC (snow leopard) but cannot find or open it. I also cannot put it in the trash as I get a message that it is open. How do I activate the program. It seems that if someone forgets the key combination there is no way to rediscover it.
Calq sits in the background, and doesn’t have a dock icon. Because it is now running in the background you can’t eject the disk image or trash the application, until it is stopped. You can activate it in one of two ways:
1) Use the default key combination Cmd-Alt-C. That will show the calq window. You can change the default key combination from the preferences.
2) There is a small += sign on the right side of your menu bar. You can choose Activate from that menu. From this menu you can also stop Calq.
Hi,
First, thanks a lot for Mpod which is really great. There is one feature I would like though, the ability to browse not by artist or album, but by filesystem (I also use the Pitchfork web interface to mpd which can do that)
Kun jij hier iets in betekenen?
