Cover Art Wizard

The Cover Art Wizard in MPaD is nearly completed. It fetches artwork from Amazon and Discogs, allows you to review it and then select the most appropriate art. I’ve created a short screencast that demonstrates this new functionality, open this post to view it.

This is a flash movie so you can’t view it on your iPad. And it may take a little while to load, so give it a couple of seconds if it doesn’t appear immediately.

    Hi
I’m new to mpod and mpad but generally quite happy with it. Just one question abt the strange behaviour of mpad handling of cover art. A small number of cover appear in mpod but not in mpad. When I tap on cover wizard, it actually shows the missing cover. However, they are missing in album or artist view. I refreshed the local cache multiplr times. Thks for any help to solve this ‘problem’.

    HI Berrie,

Looking great. Am I right in supposing one can select either local art, or ‘internet’ art? At the moment, I find Mpad/Mpod to show internet art, and selecting wrong art more than once, while Ive added local art in every folder carefully.

Could you maybe offer an extra choice of selecting ‘internet art’ only when no local art is available?

    Thanks,
    Marius

This already works like that (local cover art is given priority). If it does not appear correctly, ensure that the filename of the local art is the same as specified in the settings, and that it is accessible via http. Note that the filename is case sensitive, so if you specified folder.jpg, and the file is name Folder.jpg it won’t be seen.
