Version 1.7.1 of MPoD and MPaD

Version 1.7.1 of MPoD and MPaD are released. They have improvements around connection detection, connection setup and connection stability.
Some early reports show that some people are facing issues after upgrading to this version. If this is the case, check if the following steps solve the issues:

1) remove all existing connections from the connection popup or dialog

2) close the connection popup or dialog, then open it again

3) recreate the connections.

If your player(s) support bomjour / zeroconf it should appear automatically, click on a player to make it a configured player. Otherwise use the ‘+’ button to manually setup a connection.

    How about “It’s an interesting addition to incorporate a service like shoutcast which has 50.000 stations in it, I’ll give it a thought.”

    The update seems to have broken support for iOS3.1.3 on old
    phones.

    When updated, neither the connections button nor the settings gear button
    would appear. Otherwise things seemed to work. Deleting and reinstalling,
    the app now simply will not start — it crashes.

    Downgrading to 1.6.2 [fortunately i saved a copy!] and it runs fine again

    Hi, I just playing the MPaD for a week. I have music library of FLAC about size 500G. I order them by Genre, then by Album or by Artist (3 levels at most). I found the MPaD has something abnormal that the left side playlist always show incorrect songs on list. When I click the connection button -> setup -> refresh local cache, the playlist get correctly display immediately. However, after the refresh is completed, the playlist restore to the view same as before (an incorrect list).
    The playback is correct, the music plays is that I’ve selected, just the playlist displays incorrect information. Do you have any idea? Thanks!

    I recently upgraded to version 1.7.1 of MPoD. It’s a great MPD client. The issue that most bothers me with this version is that the Now Playing playlist always shows the previous song played in the text list. It shows the correct song in the window header. Tapping the cover art icon shows the correct cover art but with the previous song title below. Do I have something set up wrong in MPD on my server? I use Theremin on my Macs and it shows the correct song all the time.

      Sorry. To clarify, I should have said the correct ‘album title’ is showing in the header area, not the correct song.

        I think this behaviour is on purpose, and has always been like this. On the cover art view 3 songs are shown: the previous song on top, the current song in larger font and lighter color in the middle, and the next song at the bottom.

          Thanks for responding. I think your explanation helped me to further pinpoint this bug. The three song list shows for me but the larger one in the middle is the previous track. I see the current track in smaller type at the bottom. When in shuffle mode, only the previous track shows up below the album cover image. Could you please confirm if you see that in shuffle mode?

    HI Berrie,

    Would it be possible to integrate some internet radio functionality in Mpad/Mpod like TuneIn or Vtuner? There’s a mpd radio app that won;t work with the BDP1, though internet radio does work wonderfully on it, so would hope you could integrate that, to have it all in 1 app?
