"Progress bar in the header, it’s already in the playing song so why put it on the top as well?"
"The header bar is already to crowded to include -10% / +10% seek areas, this would be to error prone."
I think it would be at least less crowded than the player buttons. In addition to the progress bar in the header it would be also intuitive. The advantage of progress bar in header would be, that it is always shown, when scrolling in a long playlist and in cover view also.

"The date is something that I may be able to squeeze in."
Would be nice :-).

"What I would actually like it to have the ability to show the last 10 or 20 CD’s and pick from those, but unfortunately mpd is not supporting such a thing. I’ve built some scripting on the linux box that does it, but I can’t use that from MPoD."
I am also listening mainly to full albums. I am only using less playlists. I have written a script for switching to the first song of different albums in a playlist. Maybe useful for you? It' in the wiki hack section.

Indeed i use ncmpcpp on my computers, it's a console
client that is fantastic and very different from MPOD.

But for an IPOD/iphone , the MPOD design is close to the best possible.

I m expecting this 1.4 furiously ;-)

I will gladly support you as soon as this feature which is essential for me is out.

Just a small issue : the volume keys are placed a bit too close
to some others ones. I really often open one of the botton menus while ajusting
the volume. I would put then in the top bar (where another poster suggested to put a progress bar)

A volume feedback gauge would also be nice, especially since mpd lags a bit when tuning the volume
so i never know if the volume has been set down or not.

Note those remarks are small details, it's a very good remote command for mpd, the only reason why i don't use
it is the lack of file/tree browsing support.

Hi Berrie,
sounds really great! Especially the possibility to directly browse.
Also to take local covers. I don't know if you also use GMPC? There are already all covers at the local disk. Maybe this can be used..

Three small suggestions, which i miss
- seeking directly in the head (the feature i miss most of all)
- progress bar in the head
- add the date in brackets after the album (like in GMPC)

Maybe you or another one would like some of them too.

Take a look at this prepared screenshot:
