@Tone: this looks like a memory issue where the amount of data is too large for the application to handle. But that shouldn’t occur with a 14,000 song library. I can check if there is an issue if I get the mpd cache file from your server, I will send you a separate mail on this.

    Hi

Many thanks for this promising application. However, the application (version 1.1.1) keeps crashing on me and I cannot figure out why. It crashes when I click on the Artist, Album or Song buttons. The current playlists works for a bit (perhaps 20 seconds) then the application crashes.

I can connect OK to the MPD server from other cleints (e.g. Music Player Minion Firefox plugin). My collection has maybe 14,000 tracks. I tried reindexing the server MPD database as UTF-8 in case it is an issue with filenames, but it did not seem to make a difference. The server runs on Ubuntu (8.10, repository install). Thanks for any advice on things to try.

This really is a great piece of software, many thanks for making it available! One feature I’d very much like to see, if it’s possible, is the ability to connect to an icecast stream and play it back on the iphone. MPD has the ability to stream in ogg format, and if MPoD could play that back it would make it a brilliant remote head for a media system.

Thanks for the update. A great piece of software got even better.
I definitely like the new way of browsing through the music library. And the option of either replace or append to the current playlist.

BTW, I had same problem like Ryan and had to remove and reinstall the app when updating.

    Thanks.

OK it works over VPN now, thanks.

A reinstall fixed the general crashing issue, I will test the pptp again tomorrow from work.

  7. Ryan says:

    It is with v1.1

But from what it looks like now MPoD crashes no matter what once it connects to a mpd server.

  8. Berrie says:

Is that with v1.0 or the new v1.1?

I love this app, but I have a small issue with it. If I try to connect to my mpd server over pptp the app just closes, no error message no nothing, os there a way to fix this.
